Tips

Home Maintenance:

  1. The wigs should be washed and set once every three weeks.
  2. Washing multidirectional skin wigs: set the wig on a doll’s head, put pins on the sides of the wig and on the back of the wig so that the wig is stable on the head of the doll. The pins should be placed on the wig where the shaft of the hair is not on the skin part, to avoid ripping it. Wet the hair completely and then shampoo it, brushing it for about 5-10 minutes. Repeat this twice with shampoo, then rinse until the water is clear and then do the same with conditioner/mask. An additional way to wash: Prepare water and shampoo in a bowl, soak the wig in the bowl for 5 minutes, then remove the wig brush it and leave it before rinsing. Repeat this twice and do the same with conditioner/mask.
  3. Washing non multidirectional wigs: You can wash the wig regularly by letting it soak in a bowl, and leaving it for 5 minutes. Brush and rinse, repeat twice and do the same with conditioner/mask.
  4. Drying the wig: Towel dry the wig, Brush it and let it dry naturally. After the net is dry you can blow dry it.

  •  Multidirectional wigs are better to wash on a doll’s head
  • It is important to use a brush as opposed to a comb to avoid ripping the net.
  • It is best to use lukewarm water rather than hot water when washing a wig
  • It is recommended to let the wig dry naturally

Important rules when purchasing a wig:

It is highly recommended to consult with a professional when buying a wig because there are a lot of different hair types in the market, one of which is processed hair that goes through a chemical process. If you can not take a professional with you, feel the hair of the wig, especially the ends, if it feels silky it is most likely processed hair which is of less quality.
